Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1 small red onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Fresh arugula or lettuce (for serving)

Tomato slices (for serving)

Avocado slices (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, diced red onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾-inch thick.

Cook the Patties: Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes on the other side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Assemble the Burgers: Toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, place a cooked patty, followed by fresh arugula, a slice of tomato, and avocado if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers warm, optionally paired with a side of sweet potato fries or a refreshing salad.
