Ingredients

2 large ripe bananas, sliced into thick rounds

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Optional: Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for garnish

Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Optional: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to mix the ingredients evenly.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and bubble slightly.

Once the butter is melted, add the sliced bananas in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften and turn golden brown.

Gently flip the bananas using a spatula and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them. Drizzle with vanilla extract.

Continue to fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the bananas to caramelize and absorb the flavors.

Remove from heat and let them sit for a minute to slightly cool down. They can be served warm or at room temperature.

If desired, serve on a plate topped with chopped nuts, fresh mint leaves, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an indulgent treat.
