Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats

2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup raisins (optional)

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Extra apple slices and nuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, applesauce, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until the ingredients are well combined.

Fold in the diced apples, chopped walnuts, raisins, and chia seeds (if using) to the mixture.

Pour the oatmeal mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

If desired, arrange extra apple slices and sprinkle additional nuts over the top for added texture and flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the oatmeal is set. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.

Allow the bake to cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares and serving.

Serve warm, and enjoy with a drizzle of maple syrup, a dollop of yogurt, or fresh fruit on top!
