Ingredients

1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed

1/2 pound pepperoni, sliced

1/2 pound salami, sliced

1 cup roasted red peppers, sliced

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

12 slider buns or dinner rolls

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Brown the Italian sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon (about 8-10 minutes). Drain excess fat.

Layer the ingredients: On a clean work surface, slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottoms in a baking dish. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the bottom half of the buns.

Add the meats: Layer pepperoni and salami slices over the sausage. Top with roasted red peppers, followed by the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese.

Season the cheese: In a small bowl, mix the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Sprinkle this mixture over the cheese layer.

Top with the bun lids: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese and meat layers.

Prepare the topping: In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Brush this mixture generously over the top of the buns.

Sprinkle with Parmesan: Add the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the slider lids for extra flavor.

Bake the sliders: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Serve and garnish: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into individual sliders. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm.
