Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces (about 1 inch). Season with salt and pepper.

    Set Up Breading Station:

      - In one bowl, place the flour.

        - In a second bowl, beat the eggs.

          - In a third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt and pepper.

            Bread the Salmon:

              - Dip each salmon piece into the flour, ensuring it’s coated completely.

                - Shake off excess flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs.

                  - Finally, coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.

Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.

Fry the Salmon Bites: In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded salmon bites in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Coat with Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the crispy salmon bites with the honey garlic sauce until they are well coated.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately while hot.
